The Accounting & Finance Team is responsible for financial information pertaining to Switch’s operations that allows the company to invest, grow, and thrive. The financial information is gathered and presented to the public, banks, and the board of directors.

The Branding team creates and drives the Switch brand globally. This department includes art direction, graphic design, product development, 3-D, photo/video production, interior design, team member engagement, philanthropy, marketing, and web development. Their “design think” and “whatever it takes” mentality helps bring Rob Roy’s vision for Switch and all of his companies from the idea stages into literal visual expression and ultimately into reality.
The Engagement team is centered on the people who make up Switch. This team drives all aspects of communication, collaboration and learning for Switch team members through thoughtfully curated content on our internal communications platform, strategically executed events, and interactive educational programming. The Engagement team ensures that Switch’s mission critical mindset and core values are at the forefront of every team member experience.
The Marketing team is focused on establishing a data-driven foundation using analytics to make real-time decisions regarding Switch’s marketing strategies through digital, social, email and live/virtual event channels. This team constantly strives to innovate outreach practices, perfect automated lead tracking methods and to visualize marketing ROI and performance. The ultimate purpose of the marketing department is to drive demand, lead generation and to contribute revenue to support Switch’s local, national and channel sales teams.
The Construction team expertly directs and oversees the planning, engineering, design, and construction of all Switch facilities. Their committed focus, record-setting speed, and ability to complete projects under budget ensures excellence and moves our company forward to continually exceed the market’s demand.
Data Center Operations
Switch’s Data Center Operations team consists of highly-trained professionals responsible for the power and environmental control, appearance, physical integrity, maintenance, and client infrastructure installation at all Switch facilities. This detail-oriented team keeps Switch’s heart beating by ensuring 100% up-time and unmatched client experience for the highest-rated, most advanced data center infrastructure on the planet.
The InfoSec team assures the confidentiality, integrity, and constant availability of the Switch Corporate Information System for all team members. This system includes corporate technology assets, data, intellectual property, and staff resources. This team oversees the prevention of unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification or destruction of data to ensure information assets and technologies are protected for Switch and its team members.
The Network Operations team provides reliable, secure, 100% uptime network infrastructure and services to support and advance our internal teams as well as our clients. This team operates with meticulous planning, proactive 24/7/365 monitoring and outstanding customer service.
The Security Operations team monitors and enforces the safety and protection of all Switch facilities, infrastructure, clients and team members. They are the front line for our company’s brand experience and our safety.

The Rob Roy’s Innevation Center team maintains and operates a collaborative event and workspace for community members, Switch clients and partners. The Innevation Center is where you’ll see Rob Roy’s visions for what happens beyond the data center come to life.
The Switch Sales team owns the sales strategies, tour experiences and selling of all Switch products. They are the committed ambassadors showcasing Switch’s intelligently designed, sustainably powered, and strategically located exascale data center ecosystems to ultimately secure the continued growth and success of Switch.
Client Experience & Services
The Client Experience & Services team is responsible for fostering broad and deep relationships with Switch clients through karma-based engagements. This team conducts business reviews and serves as an advocate for Switch products and services, promoting growth through expansion sales and renewal negotiations.
The Switch CONNECT telecom experts work with Switch clients to conduct in-depth audits on their telecom expenses to save them money. This team helps identify opportunities to reduce their budget, free up dollars and achieve immediate savings. Additionally, our Telecom Solutions Architects will identify the most innovative network technologies for our clients’ business and provide recommendations to help get them the most value out of their existing services.
The Strategy team leads all initiatives around government, public policy and issue advocacy to advance the policy and business objectives of Switch. Strategy monitors and engages in legislative advocacy at the federal, state, local and regulatory level. The department also leads the development and implementation of energy policy and expansion of Switch’s sustainability initiatives. This team provides strategic messaging for both internal and external communications to advance our brand and company-wide goals as well as leads corporate communications and public relations.
Switch WORKS is Rob Roy’s personal Research and Development team. This team develops cutting-edge products and leads new initiatives that serve to further cement Switch as a leading global technology ecosystem.
