Gabe Herrera is the Executive Vice President of Critical System Operations. He works directly with the construction, design and implementation teams on creative solutions as well as on-site support of critical infrastructure deployment. His responsibilities include ensuring the proper deployment and quality assurance of the data center critical infrastructure equipment and operation. Gabe’s team is responsible for research and development, alarm response and preventative and corrective maintenance of the critical infrastructure throughout SUPERNAP. His primary responsibility is the oversight and execution of installation and commissioning and maintenance of the data center critical infrastructure and data center environment. The critical systems team has an on-site presence 24/7/365.
Gabe has 16 years of experience in the production, facilities, electrical and mechanical maintenance fields. He started his experience in maintenance operations and safety during his service in a U.S. Marine Corps AV8/B Harrier Attack Squadron as an avionics technician, collateral duty inspector and eventually as a work center supervisor.
Gabe was an uninterruptible power system field service engineer for several years working in critical environments such as hospitals, banks, data centers and military installations. He has worked in manufacturing plants and clean room environments on mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment.
Gabe’s efforts have contributed to the reputation SUPERNAP has attained for system innovation and client reliability.
Gabe is a charter board member of The Association of Energy Engineers NV Chapter.
