| Product Function |
The new Low Power Isolation module is available in two different variations. A unipolar version and a bi-polar version, for operation at 12V and 18V. For each input to this device, two internal diodes are provided so that the Isolation Module is responsive to "redundant" MicroLok II units. A particular feature of the new Low Power Isolation Module is that a common mode (single point) failure would not escalate to cause each of the redundant MicroLok II units to fail. For applications requiring more conservative redundancy level, the Isolation Module outputs can be wired in parallel. When used to perform the "OR" function (diode ORing or cross wired outputs), the new Isolation Module is ideally suited as a MicroLok II accessory to provide uninterrupted service. This is particularly useful in the implementation of seamless transfer of control or truly hot-standby operation of MicroLok II |
