The need for effective marshalling yard control is almost as old as rail transportation itself. US&S has been there for the better part of the past century by providing technological leadership and precision performance in the design, manufacture, installation, calibration and upgrades of marshalling yard control systems and equipment.
US&S designed and built the very first gravity hump marshalling yard in 1924. Since then, we've designed and installed the control systems in use at yards in North America as well as many others around the world.
